He remembers those bygone years. He can’t stop thinking about them. Like looking through a dusty window, he can see the past, but can’t touch it. If he could break it, he’d run back to those days.

– Wong Kar-Wai, In The Mood For Love

In an immersive space where spoken word, electronic music, and digital landscapes resonate with one another, Les Gens de la Pluie invites audiences into a singular sensory journey.

Inspired by the authors’ personal experience, the project tells the story of two lovers whose relationship begins to falter as one of their bodies grows fragile. Confronted with illness, they are forced to rethink desire, touch, and intimacy. How can one continue to exist together when the body fails and closeness slips away? As the audience moves through the space, the narrative unfolds in two voices—like two sides of the same story—each spectator becoming the composer of their own journey.
