The 3 Bitcoin Opera

The 3 Bitcoin Opera is a queer-futurist musical opera in two acts. It tells the love story between Xenon9, a female cyborg caught in the technological and financial systems of the city, and Felicidad, a shape-shifting entity from the mountains who carries an ancestral memory of the living world. Their encounter opens up the possibility of another kind of connection in a world shaped by artificial intelligence, authoritarianism, war, pandemic and ecological collapse.

At the crossroads of opera, performance and real-time technologies, Claudix Vanesix creates a theatrical language in which bodies, music, avatars, live images and digital interfaces coexist within a single dramaturgy. Motion capture, live image rendering, robotics and immersive devices extend the characters’ perception and open up multiple layers of reality on stage.

By bringing together pop aesthetics, queer thought, Andean cosmologies and scientific imaginaries, The 3 Bitcoin Opera explores the relationships between love, power, transformation and survival. It offers an immersive experience in which the narrative unfolds both in physical space and through its digital extensions.
