Two seemingly opposite ecosystems interact: on the one hand, nature with its wild flora and fauna; on the other, the museum space with its public, protocols and staff.
limitsvr is an immersive, collective experience that humorously and ironically dramatizes our relationship with nature and the way it is put on show. In an aseptic virtual gallery, a forest, digitized and placed under glass, becomes an art object. Using VR headsets, viewers visit this exhibition alongside a fictitious audience. The experience takes an unexpected turn, leading them to transgress the “sacred” boundary between the work and the public, projecting them into the heart of the forest. By turns absurd, funny and poetic, this experience questions and mocks our relationship with nature and its aestheticization in the world of art and entertainment.
